Description

Beautiful vintage women's tzute or carrying cloth from San Antonio Aguas Calientes, Guatemala. Probably from the mid 20th century. The base is all cotton. The supplementary wefts seem to be mercerized cotton and silk floss. The motifs are florals, crowned lions, another smaller lion and a rabbit!
Good to fair condition. Minor wear with some holes, some stains, some pulled threads, some loss and separation at seam on one end. See photographs, which were taken outdoors without a flash on a sunny day. If you would like more photographs, please message me.
