ANTIQUE VINTAGE WOMEN'S TZUTE OR SERVILLETA, CHICHICASTENANGO, GUATEMALA HUIPIL

Description

Beautiful vintage women's tzute or servilleta from Chichicastenango, Guatemala. 1st half of the 20th century. Contains stripes of ixcaco, which is a natural brown cotton. The textile is almost all cotton, with a small bit of silk floss and some small areas of wool yarn supplementary wefts. From a known private collector. The buyer will receive the original collector's name.
Good condition. Minor wear and fading. Some of the dyes have bled. I haven't tried to remove this. It may be removable since it is on cotton, but I can't guarantee it. It depends on the dyes used.
