    Description

Barite with Pyrite, Black Rock Mine, South Africa - Fluorescent!
From the famous Kalahari Manganese Field of South Africa.
    3.5 x 2.25 x 2.25 inches or 9.5 x 5 x 6 cm
Here's what the original seller said:"Pyrite on Barite Crystal Mineral Specimen, South Africa"
"Here is a 3.5 in. mineral formation of Pyrite on Baryte. It has lots of interesting sides. Nice large display specimen."
It's a large and interesting shape and it fluoresces in three colors: red, yellow and blue. That's very unusual for Barite but I did collect several more like this piece that were also multi-colored fluorescent Barite.
I have no way to confirm if it's Barite or something else but there was a number of them I bought from different sellers and that's what they called it.
It's from an obscure mine called Black Rock that has produced interesting minerals but is overshadowed by the nearby Nchwaning Mines and Wessels Mines in the world famous Kalahari Manganese Field mineral location of the Northern Cape Province.
    The dimensions are
    3.5 x 2.25 x 2.25 inches or 9.5 x 5 x 6 cm
