A NOTE TO THOSE NEW TO FLUORESCENCE:
The property of fluorescence and the beauty of fluorescent minerals is fascinating, complex and very worthy of detailed research and study. It can all be confusing to neophytes who are not familiar with the electromagnetic spectrum, ultraviolet radiation, the plethora and variety of UV lamps available and what minerals fluoresce in response to which wavelength. Please take a few hours to read and learn about fluorescence from such websites as the Fluorescent Mineral Society and NaturesRainbows.com. If you haven’t visited those sites before, you will be amazed and will learn about the minerals, how to choose a lamp, where to find more information and perhaps connect with fine people who have like interests. It could be a captivating, life-changing experience. IMHO
