Nepheline Syenite rock "Yooperlite" with orange fluorescing Sodalite in long wave UV light.
Nice display of bright fluorescent Sodalite grains peppered over most of this sample.
Having a filtered Convoy series UV light is a must if you want it to look like the images
This is a fragment from a large boulder (1+ ton) "The Port Boulder" that was chiseled off.
From Ozaukee Co Wisconsin, Lake Michigan.

Photos taken with a 365nm Convoy2 filtered Long Wave UV light. You will need one similar as well to see the fluorescence. Cheap unfiltered long wave uv lights work ok but a filtered quality light gives preferable visual results. Thx.
