Fluorescent Willemite Crystals in Calcite, Sterling Hill Mine, Ogdensburg, NJ

Description

A specimen of gray-blue willemite crystals in calcite. The willemite is fluorescent green and the calcite is fluorescent red under shortwave UV. Collected at the Sterling Hill Mine in Ogdensburg, NJ back in the Passaic Pit. NJ. Yes, I collected this one myself. It's possible that more of the crystals can be exposed with some judicious picking.  Size: 4-1/2" x 4" x 2". Weight is 1 lb. 9 oz. or 714 grams.
