    Fantastic specimen of rare fluorescing Hyalite Opal from the mountains of Zacatecas, Mexico.Hyalite opal is known to be a fluorescent mineral with fluoresce under shortwave and longwave UV and this material from Mexico fluoresces very brightly under the shortwave UV, used for photography, but also has a yellow green tint under regular sunlight.This particular specimen has great fluorescence and nice botryoidal mounds that are green/yellow with gel like clarity.
    The pictures were taken dry without flash.
