A layer of numerous tiny white globules Hydromagnesite covering one side of a serpentine matrix. The Hydromagnesite layer ranges from about 1.5mm to 4 mm thick and has areas of greenish Serpentine on top of the Hydromagnesite.
The Hydromagnesite fluoresces a greyish white under shortwave ultraviolet light. The bottom of the matrix has been sawn.
A nice example of this Hydrated Magnesium Carbonate from an interesting locale.
