Description

Up for bid is a huge specimen of bright fluorescing Hyalite from the Erongo Mountains in Namibia. It fluoresces green under all wavelengths of UV but is brightest under shortwave. This would be the perfect specimen for a class room UV demonstration as you can clearly see the fluorescence in a fully lit room. It would also be perfect for that poorly illuminated corner of your UV display case.
There are several non-fluorescent minerals associated with the Hyalite making this a nice daylight specimen as well.
