    Description

    Up for bid is a beautiful specimen of Barite and Calcite from Langban, Sweden. The Barite fluoresces White and the Calcite fluoresces Red-Orange. The combination of these fluorescent minerals with the non-fluorescent matrix makes for a fantastic pattern!
    The official spelling of Barite is now Baryte but no one told eBay that! If you do a search for Baryte the eBay search engine assumes you misspelled the word and changes the search to Barite. So until eBay gets aligned with the International Mineralogical Association I will stick with the old spelling.
