    Description

This pretty specimen, a white aragonite
    crystal cluster from
the Santa Eulalia Mining District, Chihuahua, Mexico, has an unusual shape that reminds us of white coral.  See
daylight photos #5 & 6, plus the bottom of the specimen in photo #7.
This specimen is snow white and, like new fallen snow, it sparkles with countless tiny crystals.  It's known in Mexico as "cave calcite".
    Under short wave lamp the
    aragonite
    glows a
    very bright green
(photos #1 & 2).  Note: The blue color in the SW photos is reflected light from the lamp.
    The aragonite glows
    pale blue-green
with our Convoy S2 long wave flashlight (photos #3 & 4).
    Weighs 6.4 oz. & measures 2.875 x 2.5 x 2.125 inches. (#Mex-64).
