Scheelite Fluorescent Mineral Rock from Trumbull, Connecticut G McLaughlin G56

Description

From the Gerry McLaughlin collection.
VERY bright blue scheelite on the main face, and to a minor extent on the rear face.
(I apologize for the first two blurry UV photos – for some reason, only the backside photo #3 came out clear, but you get the idea of how much is on the front…)
From Trumbull, CT comes this shortwave fluorescent rock weighing 5.8 ounces (167 g), and measuring approximately 3.00 inches X 2.50 inches X 0.50 inches (7.4 cm X 6.2 cm X 1.1 cm).
This rock has been cut on the back side to create a mostly flat slab-like rock.
Comes from the Gerry McLaughlin collection and is unlabeled.
UV Photos are in Shortwave UV.
NOTE: Typical Blacklight UV lights will NOT display any color.
Also, the intensity of the color will vary depending on the strength of the lamp you have.
