    Description

    Noritake made its popular Azalea pattern for the Larkin Company in the US from 1918 until around 1940-41. According to Joan van Patten in her book "The Collector's Encyclopedia of Noritake", the closed-handle celery tray was only advertised from 1937 - 1940, which explains the rarity of the piece. The tray has a red "Azalea Patt." mark on the bottom, which is consistent with this time period.
