Willemite Calcite Franklinite Fluorescent Mineral Sterling Hill NJ

Description

Unique specimen with a horizontal vein of very pale Mint Green Willemite and grains of Willemite (SW/UV green), snow white Calcite (non-fluorescent), and Franklinite.  The grains of Willemite on the face of the specimen do show some moderate "Afterglow". The vein does not. This piece is a natural slab of rock, not a cut piece and is very attractive in white light as well as short wave UV.
From the Sterling Hill Zinc Mine, Ogdensburg, Sussex County,  New Jersey.
