THE BEST ARE FOUND IN THE KEWEENAW
KEWEENAW Lake Superior Yooperlites
Found on the shores of Lake Superior in Keweenaw County of Upper MI., Using a UVÂ Fluorescent Light. Great for any rock collection.
The UV light is what makes the Sodalite glow. The display will vary depending on the quality of your light.
The pictures of the rocks were taken when rock is dry! With a Convoy
365nm, long-wave, UV light.
Fluorescent Glowing Rocks. The mineral Sodalite will fluorescent under long wave ultraviolet.
WHAT ARE & WHERE TO FIND YOOPERLITES:
The rocks are actually Syenite rocks that are rich in fluorescent Sodalite. ... The glowing rocks can be found mostly
on Lake Superior between Whitefish Point an Grand Marais, & on the Keweenaw Peninsula where I live as well as reports of finding
them on Lake Michigan near Chicago area and also near Port Betsie area.
Each is different and no 2 Yooperlites are the same as they each have their own personality of colored lights when the uv light hits them.
They originated from Canada and were carried by the Glaciers to Michigan. Included are photos in natural dry state and under uv light.
NOTE: Upon receiving your item, if you have any issues with your purchase please contact me before leaving negative feedback.
I will try to resolve any reasonable complaints.
I do not give returns as rocks are heavy and if I return them I take a great loss on shipping. I hope you understand!
PLEASE check out my other Yooperlites & minerals from the Keweenaw & around the world.
& ROCK ON!
